LEGGZ RELOADS WITH STAR STUDDED LINE-UP Friday 8th June 2012
The soca and dancehall stars are aligned for a stunning collision come Saturday 23rd June.
It’s just around three weeks away from the return of the annual soca fete Leggz, which will be held at Millers by the Sea this year.
Leggz reloads in extraordinary fashion by bringing one of the biggest names in dancehall to meet the brightest stars in the soca business in a fete that is destined to go down as one to be remembered for a long time.
Out of the camp of promoters Antz Nest Events, Leggz Reloaded brings to the Antiguan stage international dance hall artist, Konshens, to clash with the very best performers from Antigua and Barbados. From Barbados will be the smooth and indomitable Rupee, who has been extremely busy on a tight touring schedule, and Blood of the popular Square One band.
Konshens has been enjoying a wave of success. The young Jamaican dancehall star has been riding a meteoric rise as a result of hits such as Gal Dem ah Talk and his most recent, Gal ah Bubble.
Joining the star powered line-up is Tian Wynter, who has certainly turned it up a notch this year with a number of songs for Carnival 2012, including Body Up, which is an early favourite among soca fans.
Continuing her steady rise in the business Jashan Hughes and Chezecake Factory are also down to perform. Hughes returns with a punch building on last year, which has gone down as her most successful year. There seems to be no relenting. T he Burning Flames are set to bring the curtains down in their usual fantastic finish.
But as alluring as the music is for this soca fete, Leggz Reloaded is not only about what’s happening on stage. Leggz is set to be the sexiest affair of the Carnival season as the ladies as usual will be donning short pants and skirts to show their physical beauty in the unmistakable tradition of this Antiguan soca fete.
“Well with Konshens , Tian and Rupee, all ladies men, we put together a line up to please the women. Blood and the sweet voice of Onyan of the Burning Flames added to the mix, we certainly have a special treat for the ladies. Afterall it’s their event. It’s about ‘Leggz’,” stated Doyle Carter, Marketing Director for Antz Nest Events.
DJ’s on the night are Wooden Foot and Supa Dymond.
Tickets for Leggz Reloaded already on sale at Townhouse Mega Store and IT Clothing Store on Redcliffe Street, going at $40 in advance. The asking price at the gate is $50.
Carter has expressed appreciation to the sponsors who continue to make Carnival events like Leggz possible. For Leggz he said he was delighted to have on board the support of SaniPro, Townhouse, Lava International, IT Clothing Store, D-Tour Antigua, CTV, HPTV, Deluxe Cinemas, Vybz FM, Caribbean Superstation, Pepsi, Banks, Magnum Tonic Wine, Photogenesis, English Harbour Rum, Cavalier, Absolut Vodka, Oasis, Red Bull and Koko Caribe.
