The Carnival Development Committee, following discussions with stakeholders and in the interest of the Carnival celebrations, has decided that Saturday 6th August will be the Carnival’s Closing Parade commencing at 12 noon.
CDC Chairman, Vaughn Walter said that groups and troupes will assemble at Multi-Purpose Cultural Centre at 11 and then proceed up Market Street, left on Newgate Street, right onto Popeshead Street, right onto St. John’s Street, left onto High Street into Carnival City where the troupes and groups will cross the stage.
During the parade, troupes and groups will be judged for Band of the Year and other categories at the two designated judging points; Shoul’s Toys, Gifts and Housewares and at Public Works on St. John’s Street.
Groups and troupes that do not follow the guidelines and designated route will not be judged,
