NELSONS DOCKYARD NATIONAL PARK

The National Parks Authority continues its Community Anchor series by featuring Lisa Nicholson.

Her tall and stately figure is a familiar presence throughout English Harbour. Lisa Nicholson is known by almost everyone who lives in the community or closely connected to it and for very good reason too.

The success that Antigua now enjoys as the yachting hub of the Caribbean can be traced all the way back to the 1950’s when her family built their own yacht chartering business. Mrs. Nicholson has seen up close the development of English Harbour and the Dockyard through the years, never once losing touch with the people of the community.

Her spirit of volunteerism is unshakeable, always willing to share her experiences, advice or a helping hand. We are very happy to have her as one of our proud Community Anchors.
