The Nelson`s Dockayrd National Parks are pleased to recognise Sir Hugh Bailey for his sterling and unwavering contribution to the English Harbour and Falmouth communities.
He's a gentle giant with a smile that embodies the very spirit of our community, warm and welcoming.
His influence on sailing is unsurpassed. At the most prestigious regattas, Sir Hugh sees to it that young members of the community join his professional and experienced crew.
He is to be credited for business expansion in English Harbour with the construction of the Catamaran Marina and the Catamaran Hotel.
His influence on our community is indeed profound and we are grateful for the anchor of support that he has so willingly provided through the years.
