JHYC OCTOBER NEWSLETTER Wednesday 5th November 2014
Read the latest newsletter from the Commodore of Jolly Harbour Yacht Club, Alan "Budgie" Burge, as he wraps up recent news at the Yacht Club as well as upcoming events. The newsletter covers stories on the damage sustained during the recent Tropical Storm/Hurricane Gonzalo, along with updates on efforts by team-members to enhance the sailing and events at the Yacht Club.
The newsletter also looks at plans for the upcoming season, regattas to come and sponsorship and social events to come for this season.
Read the newsletter here.
The following additions have been made to the newsletter:
1. If anyone is offered a Tacktick Racemaster (electronic compass) without leather case and mounting bracket it is probably stolen from Bernie Wong's High Tension, damaged by Gonzalo. Other items have been removed when someone rifled through the boat, and any suspicious items should be held on to until identified, or the police informed.
2. The JHHA has organised a CPR class to be run by ABSAR's Jonathan Cornelius on 26th November. Interested parties should contact Bryan Law at bryan@ajkeeler.com for further information.
3. The Yacht Club has completed an agreement with two major sponsors for the Valentine's Regatta. See the details here.
