With excited anticipation for the future, I’m pleased to announce that Duffy & Company Ltd is now under new ownership.

Colin Baldwin and his partner Helen Pearce have officially taken over the reins of the company. After spending several years enjoying Antigua as frequent visitors, they have chosen to make the island their permanent home, now residing in Jolly Harbour. Together, they bring over 45 years of combined experience in property development, management, and corporate leadership and are committed to continuing the strong, customer-focused service Duffy & Company is known for, while leading it into an exciting new era.

Colin Baldwin is a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep passion for sailing and over two decades of experience racing in the Caribbean. Since retiring from his yacht design and building company, he has become a familiar face in Antigua’s boating community—racing regularly and participating in both the Valentine’s Regatta and Antigua Sailing Week.

Helen Pearce is a highly accomplished senior manager in property and facilities management. She has spent the past 7 years overseeing the extensive Vodafone UK real estate portfolio, including over 430 retail stores and multiple HQ locations. Her earlier career includes 20 years in banking with HSBC/Midland Bank, where she specialized in mortgage lending.

Together, Colin and Helen have owned and managed commercial and residential properties in the UK, and now look forward to applying their skills, energy, and love for Antigua to Duffy & Company Ltd.

They are also proud parents of three adult children and grandparents to one grandson, Ozias. Their decision to buy a home here in 2020 was rooted in a desire to spend quality time with family, but their growing connection to Antigua inspired a much deeper commitment.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported John, myself, and Duffy & Company over the years. Your unwavering kindness and encouragement especially during John’s illness and passing have meant more than words can express.

I am confident that Colin and Helen will continue the company’s legacy with great integrity, innovation, and care. I expect they’ll reach out personally soon to introduce themselves further.
