Positions available include:
Executive Sous Chef
Education & Experience:
• Minimum of (5) five years’ experience as Chef-Owner, Head Chef/Executive Sous Chef in a luxury or boutique resort/hotel or independent restaurant.
• Graduate of Hotel Training/ Culinary School with academic or professional qualifications in Culinary Arts.
• Food Safety & Hygiene qualifications e.g. HACCP or OSHA etc.
• Experience must include a minimum of 2 different international assignments to demonstrate International culinary exposure.
Role Specific Knowledge and Skills
• Outstanding culinary skills - butchering and fish mongering, pastry and kitchen management.
• Detailed knowledge of at least 2 food specialities.
• Detailed knowledge of food storage principles e.g. First In First Out (FIFO)
• Excellent knowledge of menu planning and design.
• Excellent knowledge of food costing and control.
• Highly competent in the use of computer systems, specifically, Financial Management (inventory focus) Microsoft Office software or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent training, coaching, mentoring skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, organization and execution skills
• High guest experience orientation
• Networking & influencing skills
• Adaptable with strong analytical and solutions creation skills.
Line Chef
Education & Experience:
• Minimum of (1) one year experience as junior/line Cook
• Luxury or boutique resort/hotel or independent restaurant ideal.
• Graduate of Hotel Training School with academic or professional qualifications in Culinary Arts OR willing and able to complete professional or academic culinary qualifications.
Role Specific Knowledge and Skills
• Good general culinary skills. .
• Good knowledge of food storage principles e.g. First In First Out (FIFO)
• Good knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene standards.
• Ability to read and write English in order to understand instructions, checklists and recipes.
• Ability to do basic Maths e.g. adding and subtraction of sums
• Good organisation and execution skills
• High guest experience orientation
• Adaptable with strong analytical and solutions creation skills
House Keeper
Education & Experience:
• Minimum of (1) one year experience in laundry or housekeeping or private housekeeper ideal.
• Luxury or boutique resort/hotel or independent restaurant ideal.
Role Specific Knowledge and Skills
• Good knowledge and application of chemicals and cleaning agents – esp. eco-friendly.
• Good knowledge of and ability to use laundry equipment.
• Ability to read and write English in order to understand instructions, checklists and recipes.
• Ability to do basic Maths e.g. adding and subtraction of sums
• Good organisation and execution skills
• High guest experience orientation
• Adaptable with strong analytical and solutions creation skills.
