Wednesday 13th September 2023

NEW LISTING USD 169,950
ADONDE is a Maxim 380 offshore cruising catamaran designed by Alexander Simonis and built by Maxim Yachts in Durban South Africa in 2001.

Maxim are well regarded strongly built offshore catamarans, 53 were built between 1999 and 2007.

The shallow keels and fully skeg protected rudders enable them to be beached at low tide.

The owners version layout has the king size master cabin and en-suite heads in the port hull with two further double cabins and a second head in the starboard hull. In the bows are two single cabins currently used for storage.

The secure yet spacious U shaped galley contains a separate fridge and freezer and faces forward alongside the similarly U shaped saloon seating and dining area, with a rear facing nav station and chart table.

The comfortable aft cockpit has a fixed sold teak cockpit table under the canvas bimini supported by a stern arch and housing the solar panels. The batteries are further charged by a wind generator and a Spectra watermaker provides self-sufficiency.

The helm station is two steps up from the cockpit for a commanding view. There is a teak aft deck between the swim platforms and forward a teak walkway between the comfortable trampolines provides access to the forward cross beam. There are further seats built into both pushpits and pulpits to enjoy the sailing.

The Raymarine sailing instruments include speed and depth plus an Icom DSC VHF radio. The autopilot needs attention.

Engines are twin Yanmar 30hp diesels with just 2850 hours. The saildrives were replaced in 2015.

The canvas was all replaced in 2023.
