HELP THE MUSEUM OF ANTIGUA & BARBUDA Wednesday 4th November 2009
During 2009, the museum has fallen into hard times! We have been severely impacted by the global economic down turn which has resulted in government budgetary cuts, a drop in donations, fees earned from admittance, attendance at exhibits, and sales at our gift shop.
The museum is run by a board comprised primarily of concerned and caring individuals who have full time careers and do not receive any renumeration. The key functions of the Historical Society of Antigua & Barbuda which runs the Museum Of Antigua & Barbuda are education, preservation, exhibition and conservation.
The benefits of the museum are priceless: teaching children about the wonders of our history & culture; as a centre for exhibits; to enhance our tourism product; and to preserve our history and artifacts for the present and future generations. We offer free admission to all residents of our State and request only a nominal donation from our visitors.
The Museum is finding it difficult to function unless someone steps in to help us. And that’s where you come in and can help.
