CCSET LAUNCHES IMPRESSIVE SCHOLARSHIP TRIALS Monday 9th September 2013
Participants at the Phoenix Athletic Scholarship Trials
Directors of CCSET launched the first in the Phoenix Athletic Scholarship Trials, in Antigua/Barbuda, on Friday, September 6, at the Jolly Beach Hotel.
The program was directed by Boris Emanuel, son, Brent Emanuel and Darren Jeanville.
More than 40 student-athletes in Antigua/Barbuda, St. Kitts and St. Lucia registered for the Trials which ran from 12:noon to 6:00 P.M.
Participants were shown a video of the program and then given a Logics test at the beginning.
Brent Emanuel gave an overview of the program and answered questions from the participants. Meanwhile, Boris Emanuel explained the type of student-athletes that they were looking for. Attitude, leadership, manners, hard work were some of the qualities expressed.
The student-athletes were then taken to the hard-courts for the fitness test which included the beep test. All the student-athletes had to participate in basketball, tennis, football and volleyball and display a short dance routine.
The Student-athletes will be evaluated and their information sent to the various colleges and universities. According to Brent, student-athletes are expected to receive information on their performances by the following week. Click here for all News and Specials for CPTSA Wings Sports Club
