CKHS STILL IN CONTENTION FOR INTER-SCHOOLS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP Monday 25th February 2013
It’s not an “Achilles” but Christ the King High School may have shot itself in the arm as contenders for the 2013 Interschool Track & Field Championship.
The school is ailing from injury to one of its top sprint athletes, Meuset Jeffers, who sustained a broken arm, a week ago, participating in a Schools’ Netball Competition.
Jeffers, who ran for her House at the CKHS Track & Field Championship on Thursday, February 21, could not hold off Khadijah Morris in the 400M. CKHS will have to lean on the likes of National sprint sensation, Bliss Soleyn and Khadijah Morris in the Sprints, and Cassie Vitalis alongside rising star, Jasmine Deyal in the Middle and Distance Events.

Meanwhile, SJA will be a reluctant competitor in this year’s championships. The school is fed-up with the organizers’ constant dropping of some key field events.
Coach of SJA, Clem Roberts, asks a fair question: “ does CXC drop a subject from its examinations just because some schools do not do the program.”
