CPTSA Wings blasted a 6-0 defeat to Blizzard on Saturday, August 18,in the U-15 division, as the Warriors Cup continued over the weekends at the John Hughes football grounds.
Dave George and Dwayne Browne, slammed two (2) each, while Greg Coates and Gerald Williams were the other two scorers for Wings.
However, in the U-17 division the same fate was metered out to Wings when Villa Lions succeeded with a 6-0 hammering of Wings. Then it was the Young Cubans who gave Wings a 6-1 lesson.
Nevertheless, Coach Thaddeus Price is undaunted by the results in the U-17 division. Price explained that there are only three of aged players that make up the U-17 team; the others are U-15 players. “So, the concentration in this tournament is mainly with the U-15 team which is unbeaten, so far,’ says Price.
