KAYNAS LEADS BLUE TO CKHS TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP Monday 20th February 2012
Kaynas Phillip leads the pack in the 800M.
Running on the heels of her mother, Fitness Expert, Kevinia Francis, Kaynas Phillip
is showing that she’s cut from the same cloth.
Like her mother, Kevinia, who is a graduate of Christ the King High School, Kaynas
Phillip is engaged in almost every aspect of sports, basketball, netball, football and track and performing well. But it’s not just her performance on the field of play that the 12 year old is succeeding, but also her performance in the class-room as an “A” student.
Kaynas captured 4 gold and 3 silver medals in the Junior Division to help Blue House capture the CKHS Track & Field Championship on Thursday, February 16, at YASCO.
Other top competitors were Bliss Soleyn and Meusett Jeffers in the Intermediate Division, Khadijah Morris and Cassie Vitalis in the Senior Division. Bliss Soleyn had her way in the 100M and 200M in 12.61 and 25.63. Meusett Jeffers continues to dominate the 400M Intermediates, clocking 62.40 secs.
Khadijah Morris ran 13.25 and 25.69 to take the Seniors 100M and 200M, respectively,
while Cassie Vitalis dominated the 400M, 800M and 2000M Cross-Country.
The CKHS will now select its team to go into the 2012 Coca-Cola Inter-Schools
Championship against arch rivals PMS on March 10 & 11, at YASCO. Click here for all News and Specials for CPTSA Wings Sports Club
