St. Vincent & The Grenadines to defend Gillian Brazier Title
The Wings Youth Basketballers take this opportunity to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to YBOA for the timely donation.
Two Caribbean countries have so far committed to participate in the 12th Annual Gillian Brazier Basketball Shoot-Out, scheduled for November 23—28, 2011, at the JSC Sports Complex.
The countries are St. Kitts and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. St. Kitts has participated in the GB Female Basketball Shoot-Out on at least eight (8) occasions, consecutively but missed out last year’s. St. Kitts won the Championship in 2003 and subsequently, has been in the top three positions, over the years. Meanwhile, St. Vincent & the Grenadines which participated in the tournament for the first time, last year, 2010, defeated the defending Champions, Chase Collegiate of Connecticut to take the title. However, according to Coach Mr. Wayne Williams, “despite the economical situation and challenging task, St. Vincent & the Grenadines has every intention of defending its title.”
