ACCOMMODATION CERTIFICATION AND HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLSSaturday 8th August 2020
Certification continues in earnest and all tourism accommodations desirous of commencing business are asked to register immediately at the Ministry of Tourism Headquarters on Queen Elizabeth Highway.
Once registered, an email is sent to the property with an attachment of a 14-page Covid-19 Protocol Assessment Form. This form is the primary assessment tool used during schedule inspections. They are encouraged to review the document and contact the Ministry of Tourism via email or telephone 468-4061/468-4003 to schedule an appointment when their property have achieved the requirements applicable to their operations.
The inspection team comprises of three (3) members of the Ministry of Tourism’s Quality Assurance department alongside a representative from the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.
After inspection, the property is notified within a 24-hour period via email whether they are successful and can commence bookings. The officially signed certificate will be presented at a subsequent date.
