RESTAURANT REOPENING, CHARITY WALK AND MORE ON THIS WEEK

DINING & NIGHTLIFE

It’s all about beef this Thursday at Coconut Grove for Steakhouse Choice Night, with a menu featuring Ribs, Steak and Beef Tenderloin, along with a selection of sides and Key Lime Pie for dessert.

New to Big Banana is Therapy Thursdays, offering drink specials, entertainment and new menu items to all guests each week. You can try out their new Jerk Chicken Pizza, pizza chips with a cheese dip, or fish and plantain chips along with their regular menu, and cocktail and beer bucket specials.

Mackenzie Brown will be at Al Porto Thursday evening for their All you can eat pasta night, providing beautiful live music while you dine. Choose from a selection of pastas and sauces, as well as bread and salad, or you can choose from their regular menu.

Ristorante Paparazzi
, located on the waterfront of the Antigua Slipway, is reopening this Thursday and will operate on summer hours, opening Thursday through Sunday from 6:30 pm.

Come out to Nonsuch Bay for Boats, Beers and BBQ at their weekly BBQ Sundays, where you can indulge in mouthwatering dishes prepared by award winning Chef Mitchell Husbands, and watch or take part in weekly sailing in the bay.

The Blue Marlin Restaurant at Anchorage Inn Hotel offers weekday specials for EC$20 with a free local drink, that you can enjoy eating in, picking up, or having delivered for EC$5 in St John’s, with free delivery for orders of 4 or more.

Visit Sugar Club and enjoy Half Price Starters for everyone at your table when you order a starter and main course and quote "Sugar Beat", taking it automatically off your bill. Check out this and more that's happening at Sugar Ridge this month in the latest edition of Sugar Beat.

The Crow's Nest offers specials every day, with Ladies Night on Thursdays with DJ Dion, offering vodka cocktail specials just for the ladies, with an asian menu available. Fridays are Fish and Chips night with DJ Stiffler from 8:30 pm, and on Saturday you can indulge in a 3-course BBQ with music by DJ Dion. Sunday, relax by the pool and choose from their Soul Food menu and on Monday, it's movie night, with an early screening for the family and a general movie later, with 241 Fish & Turf and a bottle of house wine for EC$125. On Tuesdays, it's Seafood Fiesta and Wednesday is Tapas Night, with Karaoke for entertainment and free shots up for grabs.

SPORT SHORTS

The hashers meet again this Saturday at 4:00 pm to hike in Fitches Creek, starting from the St George’s Church.

Register between Monday 8th and Friday 12th for The Wilm’s Tumor Walk, happening on Saturday 13th July to raise money for 4 year old Marquis George-Beazer, who has been diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor, a form of kidney cancer. The walk starts and ends at the Lion’s Den and the minimum donation of EC$20 covers breakfast and a T-Shirt, and there will be lots of prizes and giveaways.

COMMUNITY

The Department of Youth Affairs hosts a Summer Camp Volunteers Training Workshop Thursday evening from 5:30 pm – 7:30pm in an effort to build capacities for summer camp volunteers. 

Sign up for the Music & Theatre Performance Enrichment Camp running from July 8th - 19th at the Antigua Girls High School for ages 10 - 25. The camp offers sessions in foundation and intermediate theory, voice, piano, pan, dance, guitar and more.

The ABTA has collaborated with AQUILA to produce the Shore Excursion Excellence Workshop set for Friday July 26th to train skills in, roles of ports, destinations, tour operators and more, learn how shore excursions work, providing excellent customer service and much more.

The 2013 Mango Fest is taking place this year on July 20th & 21st at the Christian Valley Agricultural Station and those wishing to participate in the festival are asked to register at the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Housing and Environment before July 15th.
