BARBUDA BLUE HALO KIDS OCEAN CAMP 2014Wednesday 30th July 2014
The Barbuda Blue Halo Initiative, a partnership with the Barbuda Council, Codrington Lagoon National Park, Barbuda Fisheries Division, Office of the Prime Minister, and the Waitt Institute, has made a collaborative effort to sustainably manage ocean resources in sister island, Barbuda.
Their efforts include extensive research and community engagement with numerous events like SCUBA Dive training, Lionfish Hunts, and the Kids Ocean Camp, among others. The Kids Ocean Camp was held in July, where Barbuda students spent a week with the Waitt Institute team learning about the ocean and importance of conservation.
