Buying Real Estate in Antigua
Buying real estate on the island of Antigua is a fairly straight forward process. Antigua’s real estate laws are designed in such a way as to encourage foreign investment as well as protecting them after they purchase.

- Legal Fees
A lawyer will generally charge 1% to 2% depending on the purchase price.
- Stamp Duty
You will be required to pay 2.5% stamp duty to complete the purchase.
- Non-Citizens License
A non-Antiguan purchasing real estate in Antigua will need to apply for a non-citizens license. This will amount to 5% of the purchase price. A non-citizens license can take up to four months to be granted depending on your legal representation and the speed of the application process.
