Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Programme celebrates 11 years
Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Programme teaches boys and girls, ages 7-12 how to play the game, and fosters a love of learning while building leadership skills in the classroom and on-the-field. For over ten years, Scotiabank has been playing an important role in helping to promote and develop the sport that unites the Caribbean through the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket. Scotiabank is the Exclusive Sponsor of Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket and the Official Bank of West Indies Cricket.
Country Manager Marlon Rawlins said that “Throughout the years, Scotiabank’s focus has been on celebrating the region’s rich cricket heritage while safeguarding its future through the Kiddy Cricket Programme.”
Rawlins further added that “Scotiabank is fully committed to the development of our young cricketers and feel that our program engenders the skill sets required to developing first class cricketers, the kind we have been producing in the Caribbean for generations.”
He said that “Scotiabank will continue to make its contribution towards keeping Cricket alive in the minds and hearts of West Indians.”
Scotiabank is appealing to parents, guardians, schools and the general public to come out and support the future of West Indies Cricket, the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricketers when they displaying their batting, bowling, catching and fielding skills during the lunch break of the 1st Digicel ODI on Saturday, May 22”. More than 95 Kiddy Cricketers will be present on Saturday.
