ROSETTA SAMUEL WINS EC$52,000 IN FINAL DIGICEL CASH OR MORE CASH TV GAME SHOW
Wednesday 28th December 2011

Rosetta Samuel of Villa area won a whopping EC$52,000 in the grand finale of Digicel’s Cash or More cash TV Game Show last night at Digicel’s Christmas Jam session concert in front of Joe Mike’s Hotel.

Rosetta along with three other finalists – Walter Smith of Parham, Latiesha Brown of American road and Oral Linton of St. John’s st – battled it out on the game show as she accumulated 2100 points over her counterparts to win her chance in the cash vault.

EC$100,000 was up for grabs in the final show as opposed to EC$50,000 from the previous weeks. This time, the cash grab moment was televised live from the Jam Session concert on ABS TV, while thousands of onlookers and viewers watched Rosetta’s entertaining grand entrance and her sixty seconds in the vault.

“I had a strategy” she said in excitement. “I knew I had only sixty seconds and I had to make it count and that’s what I did, I grabbed as much as possible. When I saw the cheque, I could not believe how much I got, I’m so proud of myself. Thank you Digicel”.

Digicel Marketing Manager, Troy Byrne, said “Tonight is a true testament of the way Digicel sees Christmas and our customers. In true Digicel fashion, we set out to make people’s dreams a reality. Joe Bachelor, Nikesha Nicholas, Keshannah Browne and Rosetta - along with many weekly finalists - are happy because they benefited from Digicel in our Christmas promotion, we’ve changed their lives and that makes us happy because we’ve done our job”.

After Rosetta collected her cheque, it was time for the performances that brought everyone to St. John’s. In spite of the brief passing showers, Tizzy & El-A-Kru and Onyan and the 3 Cylinder band kept the massive crowd of over 5,000 people dancing and enjoying themselves during the festive season.

To top it off, Digicel gave EC$10 FREE call credit to the first one thousand customers along with free phones and other prizes to the crowd that came to celebrate with the mobile company.

In its inaugural stage, Digicel promised that the Christmas concert will be an annual event as it is as a way of celebrating Christmas with its customers.
