FIVE INDIAN SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED

We are pleased to inform you that Government of lndia has offered 5 (five) scholarships to nationals of Antigua and Barbuda, for academic year 2013-14 under its Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme 2013-14.

The Scholarships would be administered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) under the Government of India's Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme. The 5 (Five) scholarships would be available for studies in all disciplines except in medicine and dentistry.

The scholarship programme provides a lifetime opportunity for a student to study in a prestigious institution in India and, to learn about the available opportunities for further higher studies in the country. The medium of instruction will be English and the student will interact with fellow scholars from various part of the world including those from India.

As part of the programme, Government of India would provide a prospective candidate the international air fare, tuition, stipend, contingent grant, accommodation or house rent allowance, thesis and dissertation expenses.
 
Further, Government of lndia has offered additional scholarships to nationals of Commonwealth countries including nationals of Antigua and Barbuda, for academic year 2013-14 under its Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme 2013-14, to be administered by lndian Council for Cultural Relations. The total number of scholarships offered under this Scheme for nationals of Commonwealth countries would be 30 for Undergraduate Studies and 20 for Post Graduate Studies in Universities/institutions in lndia, except in medicine and dentistry courses.
 
The last date of receipt of applications in the High Commission would be January 21,
2013.
