TRYUM CONDEMN WARRIORS TO ANOTHER DEFEAT Wednesday 9th November 2011
After earning their first points in their previous match, Inet Young Warriors would have been hoping to continue their improvement but the youngsters succumbed to their fifth defeat of the season at the hands of Tryum in the ABFA Second Division on Wednesday.
Warriors battled back twice to level the game at 2-2 with 20 minutes but Tryum scored three goals in the remaining minutes to win 5-2 at the John Hughes Playing Field.
Carlos Tittle, who also scored in last week’s 2-2 draw with Jennings United, and Juwan Roberts had cancelled out strikes from Tito Crump and Sylvester Joseph.
But Crump netted a second as Howayne McKenzie and Omario Williams found the net in dying stages to give the scoreline an unfair reflection of the match.
Tittle could have and should have scored a hat-trick before he equalized midway through the first-half and the utility-player had other chances later on but was wasteful in front goal.
Roberts’ 30-yard strike gave Warriors’ hope but sloppy defending and fatigue dashed those aspirations.
Warriors next play on Nov. 16 against Black Panthers at the Johnson Complex at 5pm.
