FOOD AND DRINK GUIDE

A COLLECTION OF CULINARY DELIGHTS

The Food and Drink Guide, as its name states, is the ultimate guide to delectable dishes and exotic cocktails found in the Caribbean. The publication began in 2004 with a 50-page spread outlining places to eat within Antigua & Barbuda. It has since grown significantly, with separate spin-off guides to the islands of Dominica and St. Kitts & Nevis. The Guide is the creation of Gulliver Johnson and Janie Conley, who are immensely proud of the progression made with the publication, and positive contribution the guide has made to the culinary industry.

The Guide shows the richness of both Caribbean and International foods, the mixed culture and the lifestyle of Antigua & Barbuda, and beyond. It aims to show both tourists and locals the culinary delights of the region. With a vast collection of restaurants featured in the guide, it is the perfect culinary directory. Use the detailed restaurant profiles and food reviews to find the perfect spot to eat. The Food & Drink Guide takes it a step further with featured recipes and cocktails created by the islands top chefs and bartenders. You too can create culinary masterpieces and get a taste of the Caribbean in your home. Add your own spin to the recipes for new and exciting dishes!

This delicious publication has gone on to produce a spin-off Food & Drink Guide DVD which illustrates many of our islands chefs, students and personalities. The DVD also features culinary inspired events, video recipes, agriculture and farms, as well as highlights some fantastic places to visit. The publishers have also just produced a showcase coffee table cookbook and guide called ‘tablemanners – A culinary review of hospitality in Antigua & Barbuda’. ‘tablemanners’ has a collection of over 150 fully illustrated recipes with stunning photography. tablemanners is available from hotel gift shops and copies can be delivered worldwide when order from info@foodanddrink-caribbean.com

Over the years, The Guide has hosted two Food & Drink Industry Parties. These exclusive events highlighted the best food and drink on the island. Culinary students, professional chefs and bartenders prepared and presented an exciting range of canapés and cocktails for guests to sample during the parties. The events were fun, entertaining and mouth-watering occasions, bringing together under one roof a Who’s Who in the food & drink industry - creating a premier opportunity to meet, greet, wine and dine.

Visit their website to view the online version of the guide and to get your hands on the hardcopy version of delectable guide. Follow them on facebook for regular updates of food & drink activities in Antigua & Barbuda.
