PRESS RELEASE: ANTIGUA DOG SHOW
Monday 6th March 2017

The 8th Annual Antigua Dog Show takes place Sunday, March 19th at Falmouth Cricket Grounds, from 11:30 am – 5:30pm. This year, the show promises to be bigger and better than ever before. Governor General, Honorable Sir Rodney Williams has been invited to open the show and Melissa Benjamin will be singing the national anthem.
 
Janie Easton, the founder of The Antigua Dog Show said “this year the show will be even more inclusive because we are incorporating a community fair”.  Jo Sandeman Allen and Mary Harris who are organizing vendor participation said they are expecting about 30 vendors representing a good mixture of products from the community like Yao Yoghurt. The Cork and Basket will be having a Prosecco Bar at the show and there will also be a variety of handicrafts from artisans like Jan's Pieces, and unique plant products from Marcia's Succulent Gardens.

In addition to their regular K-9 Bar, vendors selling a variety of foods from burgers to local ice-cream and drinks, as well as Ital food. For children, there will be the much loved Bounce Castle, Bungee Jump and Face painting. The community feel will be enhanced by English Harbour Radio who will be broadcasting live from the event.
 
Each year their partners, Pedigree distributed by Hutchinson (Antigua) Ltd. roll out tons of Pedigree product for the winners. This year Davidson Charles of Hutchinson’s wanted to do something extra from Pedigree, so a special Pedigree class was included with additional prizes for the Pedigree class winner. Hutchinson’s will also be offering special offers on Pedigree dog food at the event.
 
The show will be promoted through local media, there is a tv and radio commercial available. Anais Graindorge who is handling IT for the event said "We hope to have a much stronger online presence this year and are planning online cross promotions with Hutchinson’s and their retail partners". There will be professional photographers at the event to capture the excitement and she suggests that all participants join their online dog community - Dogs and Cats of Antigua and Antigua Dog Show.
