Radio personality Sly J hosted the black tie affair, which was attended by more than 150 people. In his welcoming remarks, General Manager Gerald Christ applauded team members for their tireless efforts and outstanding work. “We are here this evening to recognize your achievements because the phenomenal customer service that you provide to our guests keeps them coming back year after year,” commented Christ.

The Most Improved Team Member Award was won by Housekeeping’s Felix Alexander while his colleague Javon Jarvis took home the Sandals Foundation Community Spirit Award. The highly contested Team Member of the Year Award went to Soon Come Back’s Brendaline Xavier.  Overcome by emotion, Xavier said that she was thrilled to be the recipient of such an incredible award. “ I am utterly surprised but I am grateful and humbled and I am determined to continue to excel because I love what I do,” said a jubilant Xavier. She will automatically compete against the winners from other Sandals resorts for the Ultimate Team Member of the Year Award. Richardo Hughes from the Maintenance Department was named Runner Up Team Member of the Year.

One of the highlights of the evening was a dramatic presentation performed by the Management Team. General Manager Gerald Christ had the crowd on their feet when he led a dance routine to Michael Jackson’s BAD. There were also special performances by the SHIVA dancers and team members danced the night away to the sounds of DJ Undercover.
