“Best trip we have been on!!”  Reviewed January 9, 2013
 

My husband and I have been to 2 others Sandals before this one. We have been to Royal Caribbean in Jamaica and the Royal Bahamian. We loved both of them and thought it could not get any better! It did! We arrived in Antigua and caught the shuttle to the resort we were greater with cold towels and champagne which was normal for our sandals experience but still much appreciated. Being Sandals Select members we did get an up grade to a concierge level room. We really enjoyed the full bar in the room and got a lot of use out of it! We were staying on the Caribbean side which we preferred it was more tropical feeling. We were not a fan of the big pool and stuck to the small one in the Caribbean side but spent every afternoon on the beach. The beach was amazing! The best I have been on. Vendors did try to sell us stuff but we did not mind! I actually bought some gorgeous turquoise jewelry and rose quartz for a great price. We loved the drink service on the beach we did not get that at the other 2 sandals we have been to. The food was great breakfast and lunch we generally ate at the buffet which was good. We loved the barefoot restaurant for dinner. The molten lava cake at Mario's is a must have! We had dinner at Eleanors it was good we both had lobster so that was a nice treat. Steak was pretty good at the OK Corral for an all inclusive but not amazing. We went to Cricketers every night because we like to have some fun at night! Karaoke night was amazing we met alt of other couples there and had some great times! We will defiantly return to Sandals Antigua again!
