NASASHA WHITE TAKES TOP HONOURS AS THE ULTIMATE TEAM MEMBER

Nasasha White of Sandals Grande Antigua was treated to a hero’s welcome by her family and colleagues at V.C. Bird International Airport after winning the Sandals Ultimate Team Member of the Year Award for 2010. She won the coveted title at a glittering ceremony held at Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica on Wednesday, August 18. Out of a pool of 10,000 Sandals Resorts International employees and 18 finalists, Miss White emerged victorious as General Manager Gerald Christ beamed in the audience. “It could not have happened to a more deserving young woman,” Christ said. “Nasasha is an outstanding employee who constantly shows an incredible level of professionalism and integrity in everything she does.” The humble award winner has been working at Sandals Grande Antigua in the Wedding Department for the past three years as a wedding consultant.
Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer was on hand at the airport to congratulate the elated Miss White who said, “I really didn’t expect to win. This is the greatest achievement of my life and I want to thank the Sandals Grande Antigua team for believing in me and encouraging me to bring home the gold.” Joyce Henry from the Ministry of Tourism presented Miss White with a special gift and said, “I want to thank Miss White for being an incredible ambassador for Antigua and Barbuda. She is a tremendous representative of the tourism and hospitality industry.”
As the Sandals Ultimate Team Member winner, Miss White receives a crystal trophy, US$2500 and a trip for two that includes luxury ground transfers and travel to her resort destination of choice in the CEO’s private jet.
