ANTIGUA CHARTER YACHT SHOW

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show is the largest Charter Yacht Shows in the world and signifies the official start of the yachting season not only in Antigua and Barbuda but in the Caribbean generally. Yearly up to 100 vessels converge on the Falmouth Harbour Marina, Antigua Yacht Club Marina and the Dockyard Marina . The show attracts some of the most presigious yachts in the world.    
       
The main aim of the show is for brokers to view yachts at the start of the season, along with the press, and marine and service companies who are also in abundance. It is a perfect opportunity as a tourist to the island to visit English Harbour and soak up the atmostphere. On show are some of the most luxurious and expensive yachts in the world.
      

Originally formed by Nicholson Yachts, and run that way for many years, following the retirement of Rodney and Desmond Nicholson, for 2004 a new non-profit organisation has been formed in order to manage the event, including many knowledgeable and influential people in the yachting and marine industry within Antigua and Barbuda.

 
It is worth noting that the general public are not able to walk the marina's during the show or board the yachts, as the show is a private trade show and has to adhere to strict rules as set out by the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association.
