Located in one of the most fabulous locations – right over the water – is Catherine’s Café at Antigua Slipway in English Harbour.
Established more than 15 years ago, Catherine’s is a favourite lunch location for ‘those in the know’ - tucked away from the road but right at the entrance to English Harbour it is accessible by both road (follow the signs) and sea (water taxi from Nelson’s Dockyard)!
Your hosts Claudine and Guillaume come from owning their own restaurant in Brittany France, and have brought with them the passion and desire to make this restaurant one where it is easy to select good food and fine wine. The place to have a quick lunch or to while away 4 or 5 hours on the French terrace with good company, where the music is funky and grown up, in a tasteful and peaceful setting, the atmosphere is laid-back and unhurried and the staff is just attentive yet unobstrusive.
They have a set menu as well as daily specials on a black board. Simple, fresh and tasty with a twist of french cuisine, the Catherine’s Cafe is a typical bistro specialized in local seafood.
You can pop in with a friend for a delicious salad or a snack and a glass of rose or if you decide to reserve a table for a great family reunion and to enjoy a three course lunch or dinner ending with one of the amazing desserts. The extensive Wine List is exclusively French with Rose; White; Red and Champagne from the regions of the Loire or Rhone Valley - Bourgogne - Bordeaux - Provence and Champagne.
Catherine’s Café is open six days a week – Wednesday to Monday for lunch and on Wednesday and Friday for dinner too! Live Jazz music is on Wednesdays with Roland Prince Quartet.
During Xmas, Easter and Antigua’s special events such as Sailing Week; Charter Yacht Show and Classic Yacht Regatta they are open for dinner every night.
