ONDECK PROFESSIONAL CREW TRAINING COURSESunday 1st September 2013
This 6-week course is designed for crew looking for a first job on yachts as well as recreational yachtsmen wanting to fastrack in one of the most spectacular sailing locations in the world.
Based in Antigua, and in addition to the mix of solid MCA and RYA accreditations, this course has a number of unique features including a number of skippered passages to other Caribbean islands and most importantly locates students in the right place at the right time with the right qualifications for gaining work.
Antigua and St Maarten are the two winter 'superyacht hubs' of the Caribbean and the season kicks off shortly after the end of the course with the Antigua Superyacht Charter Show in early December.
The season ends in April - May and yachts start returning to the Med, UK or North America and there are usually plenty of opportunities for paid or unpaid passages cementing the experience.
Six weeks starting 21st October and finishing 29th November comprising 5-day or 6-day weeks.
