AYC TO PARTICIPATE IN BARTS BASHWednesday 17th September 2014
Barts Bash. Sunday, 21st September 2014. Click here to see the notice of race.
The plans are shaping up for a great day on the water and we are very close to the minimum number of boats (25) required to fully comply with the requirements to participate in the World Record attempt.
If there is any interest we are planning on adding a Pico Class for those who would like a slightly more "sedate" dinghy racing experience, boats are limited, so first come first served.
Briefly, the day will be as follows (Keel Boat Sailing Instructions will be available from AYC office from Thursday afternoon onwards)
0830-0930 Registration for the dinghy racers
1000-1230 Dinghy Racing
1100-1300 Registration for the keel boats crews
1300 Skippers briefing at Club Sushi @ the AYC
(Not before) 1400 5 minute warning for the single keel boat class, participating in Barts Bash
(Not before) 1415 5 minute warning for the first dinghy class, participating in Barts Bash
The rest of the dinghy classes will be started at 5 minute intervals
1630ish Prize Giving at Club Sushi @the AYC
Entry fee is at least $EC125/person (all money to go to the The Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation)
Club Sushi has kindly offered to sponsor lunches for the dinghy competitors and volunteers. AYC Burgers will be available for everyone else at a nominal price.
