Miramar Sailing recently contributed a practice session in an RS Elite at Nonsuch Bay for the National Sailing Academy sailors that were competing in the Premier Youth Cup in Tortola the following weekend. The team won the regatta for the first time, ousting the two time champions, Anguilla, from the top spot!

As part of an ongoing NSA sponsorship plan, Miramar Sailing School are donating the first of several RYA Sail Training courses to the NSA top performing sailors. Monday, August 12th saw 18 year old Janeild Smith join an RYA Competent Crew course for a week's training with Miramar's Chief Instructor, Pippa Turton. Janeild's sailing ability soon became apparent to Pippa who then decided to assess him for RYA Day Skipper which we are delighted to announce, he successfully achieved.  

As the month's go by, more of the NSA youth will be afforded the same opportunity in the hope they will continue their racing success and further the future of Antigua sailing."
