Antigua was the turning point for Ray & Marilyn 20 years ago. Ray restored classic boats & houses in the UK whilst Marilyn was a teacher & waitress. But in 1989 they made their dream come true & sailed the Atlantic with their 2 young children. For 2 years they cruised from Venezuela to the US Virgin Islands & it was Antigua that they chose to stay. The photo shows them during Antigua Classic Week aboard their restoration of "Alexander Hamilton", a traditional W.Indian schooner, the last boat built on the beach in Nevis.
In 2003 they bought a gorgeous site with golden palm trees facing the sea just outside the gates of Nelson's Dockyard. 'The Anchorage" was built to provide a small business centre with comfortable budget accommodation, restaurants, offices & retail.
Adventures are regular with regattas on other islands. All travellers like to sit awhile & talk & Ray & Marilyn will provide a memorable stay in Antigua by letting them arrange adventurous trips for you. | |
