EXCELLENT INTERNATIONAL CUISINE
In the heart of the Yachting paradise that is English Harbour, Trappas Bar and Restaurant broke the mould and put English Harbour on the map year round. Simon and Caroline Tranter at the helm also saw the need for offering restaurant food and drink and café speeds and prices. The energy of the team and the speed of service is the first thing that hits you, – the second is the taste!
Choose from an extensive international menu offering anything from their famous breaded calamari, sauted mussels and homemade hummus to the hightly recommended grouper fillet or try the Asian stir fry, local West Indian Curry or a succulent hand cut Angus steak. And
of course there is Simon's superb cheese burger, the best in town.
Wines of an excellent quality are European and New World, and cocktails, shorts and beers are plentiful – measures can best be described as ‘Antiguan’ - they may be sweet but too much of a good thing leaves you with legs of jelly.
The huge choice on the menu is a stark contrast to the simplicity of its pricing – all starters EC$25, all main courses EC$50, and desserts EC$18 – at those prices you will leave with a full belly and a smile on your face – and not just because of the size of your rum and coke! Dinner is served from 6:00 pm. Bar drinks and bar food every night from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Dinner from 6:00 -10:00 pm
The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant is vibrant and attracts a large crowd of locals and ex-pats year round – so is a great haunt while on vacation in Antigua, if you want to get to know a few of the colourful local characters.
For a great night out, come and visit us Monday to Saturday from 4pm year round, but remember to book a table in order to avoid disappointment!
