Lazy Bones Beanbags
Sun, sand, surf and Lazy Bones—it’s the perfect picture of how days should be spent in the Caribbean.
"Promoting Laziness and Encouraging Inactivity" is our slogan but the Lazy Bones collection is produced with zero laziness & inactivity, combining top quality, weatherproof fabrics such as Sunbrella and Naugahyde Marine Vinyl with yacht quality zippers and thread. All products are designed for extreme weather and lazy days on the beach.
These comfortable and essential additions to any pool deck or yacht are created at the Cotton House in Piccadilly by Chris Harris and his crew. They create weatherproof covers in a range of colours using outdoor fabrics, with the option of a heavyweight poly-cotton liner (to enable mashine washing the cover) or Marine vinyl that can be simply hand scrubbed. Both are filled with recycled polystyrene that is processed on site from unsoiled waste packaging destined for the landfill dump.
Our embroidery and laser engraving & cutting equipment can add a personal touch with a logo, slogan or graphic.
The whole collection of Lazy Bones Beanbags is on show at the Cotton House along with fabric swatches & all the accessories you need to create a custom made beanbag for your house or yacht.
Custom Sunbrella and Vinyl Upholstery
While the Lazy Bones are our premiere product, they aren’t the only things that keep us busy. We also do custom upholstery and canvas work for yachts as well as create sun beds, cushions and other outdoor lounging furnishings for many of Lazy Bone customers The tough, fade-resistant Sunbrella fabric can also be crafted into equipment covers for BBQs, tenders, furniture rain covers and even awnings. Leather upholstery and equipment covers are also available.
Utilising our extensive equipment further, we’ve also designed and produced a collection of Lazy Bags which are made from recycled, super-tough sailcloth. Sunbrella, leather and mesh are also combined to make tote bags, courier bags, equipment bags and overnight bags which can be created in various shapes and sizes, and customized with slogans and logos .
The Cotton House has been processing cotton in various ways for well over 100 years as it was originally built to clean, process & bale raw cotton grown on island. Custom screenprinted T-shirts have been produced there for over 30 years by Aaron, the printmaster! We print up to 6 colours and use the popular Gildan & Bella brands, in a wide range of colors and sizes. Samples are available in the showroom, along with an extensive stock of T-shirts, V-necks, longsleeves, yacht racing and sports shirts, polos, ladies shirts and beach dresses, ready to print or embroider.
Embroidery is offered on our 6-colour Brother machine that can whip out smart staff and crew wear such as polos and button shirts or headwear, drawn from our stock of baseball caps, brimmed hats and visors.
We also have a small range of printed souvenir shirts, including Lazy Bones Beer merchandise, hats, bags and accessories.
Lazy Bones Beer
What better to pair with our beanbags than a small batch, craft beer made in collaboration with the guys that make YAO yogurt. It’s the only beer brewed in Antigua!
We have 5 different Lazy Bones beers: Bone Idle Blonde, Boneshaker Bitter, Wicked Wheat, Plain Lazy Pale Ale and The Golden Demon Blonde. All are quite a lot stronger than the local soft beers with the Demon hovering around 7%.
The beer is sold cold from our fridge or by the case at EC$75. Cases are also available from YAO at the Brewery on Factory Rd, near GiGi’s. Bottles are carried at Crab Hole Liquors, Trappas, Catherine’s Café, Skullduggeries, Club Sushi, Rum Baba, Lime Bar, Sugar Ridge and Castaways, with more sites being added each month.
The Cotton House is open November 1st till May 1st, Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm, Saturdays 9am-12. The rest of the year, not so much so call!
The Cotton House is located on the left, 1 Km from Cobbs Crossing on the St. James Club Rd, Piccadilly, just minutes from English Harbour.
