29th July - Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore theory Courses, 20% discount on published rates
Both the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster shorebased courses are the same. Once this theory course is completed, candidates are able to progress to either the Coastal Skipper Practical course, and achieve a Course Completion Certificate at that level, or move on to acquire Certificates of Competence, awarded for Yachtmaster Coastal; Yachtmaster Offshore and Yachtmaster Ocean. For more information click here.

29th July or 5th / 12th August - Competent Crew Practical Course, 20% discount on published rates
This course introduces the complete beginner to cruising and teaches personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to the level required to be a useful member of the crew of a cruising yacht.  The RYA Competent Crew course is a 5 day practical course on board the yacht sailing the superb warm waters of the Caribbean. 12th August - RYA Day Skipper Practical, 20% discount on published rates
At Miramar Sailing School we are able to offer the Non Tidal endorsement to Day Skipper certificates. The course builds on the fundamentals learned in the shorebased course, but also introduces you to the practicalities of skippering a yacht by day in familiar waters. 29th July or 5th August – RYA Coastal Skipper Practical Course, 20% discount on published rates
In terms of Practical Courses this is the final Course Completion Certificate to be taken. The syllabus for the Practical “Non Tidal” course comprises of: Passage Planning - Preparation for Sea - Pilotage - Passage making and ability as Skipper - Yacht handling under power - Yacht handling under sail - Adverse weather conditions - Emergency situations - Passage Planning - Pilotage - Yacht Handling.   

In addition we also have places for Mile Building Experience commencing 22nd or 29th July or 5th August.   20% discount is also offered for these passages.
