Earlier, on Sunday, Antigua/Babuda captured the bronze medal with an uncomplicated 3—0 (25—20, 25—13, 25—22) win over Dominica in the third place play-off.
It was a sweet piece of revenge for Antigua/Barbuda who were beaten 3—2 by Dominica in their opening encounter on Thursday, September 6th.
Xavier Roberts scored 15 points and Collin Thomas contributed 14 points, respectively, for Antigua/Barbuda.
Antigua/Barbuda finished the Tournament with a 3—2 win/loss ratio. Dominica, on the other hand, had two wins as against two losses.
According to Antigua/Barbuda’s coach, Fitzroy Benjamin, “third place is better than being out of the top three...but would have liked to be in that final game against the home team...we wanted to give the fans some real entertainment.” Click here for all News and Specials for CPTSA Wings Sports Club
