A number of international girls are attending the CCSET International Academy at Longfords and are giving strength to the sports program of the school, volleyball, in particular.
Contact was made with Principal of the school, Theresa Emmanuel, in recruiting females interested in basketball and would like to practice and play with the Wings girls basketball team. Two Canadians, Ashley Miller and Alex Clarke, who have played before in Canada, turned out for their first Antiguan basketball experience on Saturday morning, January 28, at the YMCA Sports Complex.
Both young ladies are in their second year at the University of Waterloo in Southern Ontario and are on an Co-op program with CCSET International Academy. Ashley Miller is a student of Environmental Resource Studies, whilst Clarke is a Math student.
