ITF TOBAGO JUNIOR TOURNAMENT - ANTIGUA RESULTS Tuesday 23rd August 2011
Saturday started Tobago's inagral ITF Junior tournament with players from over 17 different territories from as far a asia to our little island in the Eastern Caribbean.
Contending in this tournament for Antigua & Barbuda are Jevannie Ambrose and Cordell Williams jr in U14 boys, Noah Peters U14 girls and D'Jeri Raymond U18 girls. Raymond received a wild card into the main draw and will not see competition until monday.
Under 14 competition started on Saturday with the round robin qualifiers. Both Noah Peters and Jevannie Ambrose are in a group of three (3) and will only see two round robin competition matches while Cordell Williams jr is matched in a group of four(4) and will have to play three round robin qualifiers.
Each player will need win at least 2 matches to earn a spot in the main draw.
We wish these players the very best as they move through this round robin phase.
The association would also like to thank Food Brokerage Services who ably assisted one of our juniors enabling them to compete in this tournament. D'Jeri Raymond continues to thank her supporters ABI bank who without their support she would not have been able to compete is as many competition as she has enabling her to improve her overall development.
