DAY 2 QUALIFIERS 28TH ANNUAL COCO COLA ST. LUCIA JUNIOR TOURNAMENT-SUNDAY 7TH AUG 2011 Monday 8th August 2011
As the 28th annual Coco Cola St. Lucia Junior Tournament progresses 11 year old Cordell Williams Jr and 13 year old D'Jeri Raymond continue on their progress with positive results.
#1 Cotecc (Confederation of Tennis in Central America & the Caribbean) ranked
U14 junior girls D'Jeri Raymond and U14 boys Cordell Williams jr both made it into the main draw after playing qualifying matches on both Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th.
Sunday's results were bitter sweet; Cordell Williams jr loss his 3rd round robin match to Jean Phillipe Murray of St. Lucia 3-5, 1-4 and Raymond won over Medhini Urs (LCA) 4-0, 4-0.
Today's loss for Williams did not decide his fate in the main draw as he won his
two (2) previous matches positioning him as #9 out of 25 in the U14 boys round robin.
Round robin results for Raymond positioned her as the #1 seed in U4 girls.
Both Raymond and Williams are scheduled to play their first main draw matches on Monday 8th August.
Cordell Williams Jr will meet the #3 seed Tjimon Louisy(LCA) in the 1st round of the main draw while Raymond will meet Eva Frazzoni ( Bermuda) in the Quarterfinals.
