Antigua & Barbuda Search and Rescue, or ABSAR,
is a non-profit organization based at the
Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Falmouth Harbour,
Antigua.
ABSAR's goal is to preserve life. We are
ready to respond 24X7 by sea, air, and land
to search, rescue and medical emergencies
within our reach. We liaise with the Antigua
Coast Guard, Caribbean Helicopters and other
agencies in the area to facilitate the best
response to your emergency. We are also the
primary safety, rescue and medical agency for
the Antigua Race Week and the Antigua Classic
Regatta.
In order to provide this service, we depend
fully donations, mainly from the private
sector. The decision to initiate or continue a
search should not be based solely on the
availability of funds, which has been the case
in so many searches in the past. Through
donations and fund raising events we therefore
ensure that this is not the case.
Any contribution to our organization is much
appreciated. For more information on how you
can contribute, please visit this link on our
website.
