| In January, the
members of the movement entered the second annual
Theme/Slogan Competition for the World Thinking
Day Calendar of Events. The winning slogan was
submitted by Elenor Thomas of the 6th Antigua
Girl Guide Unit (Spring Gardens Moravian Church).
The Slogan is "Making a better tomorrow with
Guiding" |

| Other Activities
that took place during February. Te Leaders Stress Training
that took place on the eve of the "Guides
Own and Hike". This training was designed to
take us through the week and through life with
the necessary stess management techniques and
exercises. (February 15th 2002)
Girls all around Antigua reached out to persons
in the community who have at some time
contributed to the life of the Girl Guide
Movement but maybe ill or need special attention.

A Girl Guides of Antigua and Barbuda Public
Service Announcement scripted by Joanne C.
Hillhouse and Produced by HAMA Productions
(producers of Antigua's first full-length feature
film "The Sweetest Mango") Launched on
ABS Television and Superchannel Cable Television.

The Girl Guides "GUIDING Light journalism
club" produced its trial news page in the
YOUNG EXPLORER (a publication dedicated to the
voice and issues of youth). The Club members are
all Girl Guides. Buy your copy of the Early-March
Edition of the YOUNG EXPLORER today and learn
about the issue affecting Girl Guides and youth
in general. (February 20th 2002)
All radio stations in Antigua participated in
Media Quiz on Girl Guiding nationally and
internationally. (February 20th - 22nd 2002)
WORLD THINKING DAY as it states was a day to
Think of, reflect upon, and communicate with all
the Guides around the world. Wearing the uniform
is a significant part of that Thinking process as
we also remember our Founders and what they've
started. (February 22nd 2002)

Launch of a Teen Summit Television Production
Pilot Project on Early Adolescent Pregnancy
(10-15 years). This a sensitive issue which
greatly concerns the World Association of Girl
Guides and Girl Scouts and The Girl Guide
Association of Antigua and Barbuda. The Executive
Producers are the Rangers (Senior sections of the
Girl Guide Association) while the Producer is
Mitzi Allen of HAMA Productions.
