Every
year on February 22nd 10 million girls around the
world celebrate Founders/World Thinking Day.
These girls are the Girl Guides. This day is
special because it is the birthday of our
founders both Lord Robert Baden-Powell and his
wife Lady Olave Baden-Powell. Guiding was founded
by Lord Baden-Powell in 1910 in England and by
Mrs. Vonberg in 1931 in Antigua.

| Over 700 girls
from the age 3 upwards celebrated our 70th
Founders/World Thinking Day in Antigua with a
Calendar of Events. The Girl Guide Association of
Antigua and Barbuda presents "WHERE MY GIRLS
AT" (featuring images captured during the
World Thinking Day 2002 calendar of events). |

The Humane
Society welcomed hundreds after this "Guides
Own" and Hike from Block House, Shirley
Heights. A "Guides Own" is an informal
service conducted by Girl Guides. (February 16th
2002) |

March through St. John's to the Girl Guide
Headquarters on Deanery Lane to Launch the first
ever Girl Guides of Antigua and Barbuda Marching
Band the members had to be judged for their
