This will be the first time the twin island state is hosting the event and preparations are well underway to what has been dubbed as “The Ultimate Caribbean Destination Wedding Planning Activity.”
 

Internationally renowned fashion designer Mr. Preston Bailey will be a part of the weekend Bride Villa event. Bailey has been working on Destination weddings for couples since 2005, focusing primarily on Caribbean destinations.

 

Mrs. Erica Henry-Jackman Director of the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Office in Canada says that Antigua and Barbuda has long been synonymous with romance. She is part of the organizing committee and says a weekend of activities has been planned for October 12th to 14th.

 

On October 12th, there will be a welcome reception for the participants of the Bride Villa event. On the 13th, Mrs. Jackman says the focus will be on education training and five (5) speakers will be on hand to address Event and Wedding planners at the hotels as well people interested in doing large wedding groups.

 

Sunday, October 14th will be the Bridal Villa. Mrs. Jackman says it will be the “ultimate wedding show” where the bride can (bring) her fiance and bridesmaids to see what the vendor has to offer.

 

Participants to the weekend Bride Villas include regional counter parts in the destination wedding business. St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, Barbados and Tobago will be represented.
